Serving youth (and families) between the ages of 12-21 who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.
-24 hour youth shelter in Lewiston (ages 12-18, occasionally 19 depending on population), 207-795-4070,
-Transitional Living Program (TLP) supervised housing and unsupervised housing ages 16-21. 207-795-4074. Lewiston, some in Farmington and Augusta.
-Maine Transitional Living Collaborative (MeTLC) housing LGBTQ+ identifying youth ages18-21. 207-795-6831, Lewiston, Farmington, Augusta.
-Drop-In Center and Youth Outreach in Lewiston 9-6:30pm. 207-795-6831. Drop-In Center opens at 1:30pm M-F. Tues and Thurs hot meals are served at 5:30pm. Ages 14-21.

Youth ages 12-21 who are runaways, homeless, or at risk of being homeless. New Beginnings offers a continuum of services including basic shelter, long term transitional living, and outreach services providing case management and assistance with survival needs for youth living on their own. New Beginnings is a non-profit youth agency located in Lewiston, with a branch in Farmington, Maine.
Established in 1977, New Beginnings is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Since opening its doors in 1980, New Beginnings has grown from a program providing basic shelter care to an agency with a variety of community based services meeting the needs of youth in crisis and their families. The agency receives funding from individual donors, local organizations such as the United way, and state and federal sources.
New Beginnings also provides Residential Services such as Emergency shelters to children ages 12-17. They also provide Transitional Living for developing skills for independent living. This is available for children ages 16-20. New Beginnings also has HIV prevention and training for youth.
