Services: | The Mt. Blue Area Garden Club (MBAGC) is very active in Municipal beautification, planting and maintaining the court house and WWI gardens with the help of two first grade classes from Mallett School. MBAGC also decorates the Titcomb House for Chester Greenwood Day. The Club also sponsors children at Ann Mallett's Bug Camp and gives a scholarship to a Mt.Blue senior who is going on to college to major in Horticulture. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, excluding Dec., Jan. and Feb., at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Summer meetings in June, July, and August are held at a member's home/garden, starting at 5:30 P.M. Phone committee will call one week before meetings. Hostesses will be responsible for bringing light refreshments. Any hostess who is unable to serve is requested to find her own replacement and to contact the hostess chairman. An annual plant sale is held at Meetinghouse Park in Farmington on the third Saturday in May. |
Fees: | Dues are $10.00 annually |
Hours: | All regular meetings begin with a social ½ hour. Day business meetings will begin at 1:00 P.M., evening meetings (many featuring guest speakers) begin at 6:00 P.M. The public is welcome at all meetings. |
